Harsh Decisions

Now I know it can be a very subjective issue. But I was just wondering if there was any way to know how many times a batsman has been given out when he wasn't. Cuz I was thinking that Sachin might be holding the record for this one.

P.S. this is not meant to start a white skin vs brown skin or any other kind of flame war. I am really curious.

"how many times a batsman has been given out when he wasn't".
From my personal experience, I have always been given out when I was not. :)

Oh dear...did you always have your very own Bucknor at the other end?

In recent times I'd say Hayden and Hussey got some pretty rough decisions. All in all, the standard of umpiring seems to be hitting an all time low.

hmmm...I am starting a thread on tracking unfair dismissals (and unfair non-dismissals to keep the balance) at the Silly Points forum. Thanks to Chinaman and Santos for the idea.

Let's see if we are able to come up with something interesting..will post a link as soon as I have the thread running.

Considering that sachin has played more innings than anyone else it is statistically likely that he has indeed been the victim of more rough decisions than any other batsman.

i am not sure if i want sachin to hold another record as well, but the ones that come to ma mind right now include all sachin, but haydos and hussey did get some recently!

looking forward to that tracking

Amidst all these discussions, I would have liked to see Sachin play the last two ODIs..atleast one more match if not both..Not that a player of Sachin's caliber needs to prove anything, but a little more time spent on crease would have surely kept him going...

it would have been interesting how Sachin would have responded to the situation..

Thanks for the comments guys. Sorry I have been a bit busy lately to reply. The reason for mentioning Sachin is quite simply because I follow the Indian team more closely than any other team. And so I can very easliy come up with instances when he has been given out when he wasn't.

Anusha, I would have also liked to see Sachin in the team for at least one more match. Pity, he was rested. Plus Balaji and Pathan were disappointing as well :(
