I cannot make sense of selecting M Vijay for the final test. Aakash Chopra might have been a better choice in my opinion since he has played in a few test matches before. Somehow this selection reeks of provincialism, which is not something I expected from Srikkanth. And now Vijay is in the ODI squad too? After playing just 20 List A matches? Sounds like the selectors are trying to justify Vijay's Test selection as a well thought out plan and not just a hurried decision. Unfair on Badri, who I think deserved at least one more chance in the ODIs.

I agree with u.. inclusion of Vijay in test was a surprise. Akash Chopra would have been a better choice.. in terms of experience.. Also bringing him in ODI's is a shock...
Badri has got his chances... he has failed all the times at international level.. Dont see him getting any more chances...

I'm glad we agree on the case for Aakash Chopra :)
On Badrinath...I figure gving him a last chance wouldn't hurt. After all, officially he has played in just 3 ODIs. And after his recent failures i am sure he will be hungry to prove himself. And I don't think Vijay will get a chance to play in ODIs unless he scores in the 4th test.
